Christian Initiative Romero: Advocating for Justice and Human Rights in Central America

Our Mission

The Christian Initiative Romero (CIR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting labor rights and human rights in Central America. Based in Münster, Germany, with offices in Berlin and Nuremberg, CIR has been a voice for the voiceless since 1981.

Central America: Our Focus

CIR's work primarily focuses on Central America, a region that has historically faced challenges with labor rights and human rights violations. Through partnerships with local organizations, CIR supports initiatives aimed at improving working conditions, ensuring fair wages, and protecting the rights of workers.

Our Principles

* Solidarity: We stand in solidarity with our partners in Central America, supporting their efforts to build a more just and equitable society. * Empowerment: We believe in empowering local organizations and communities, providing them with the resources and support they need to advocate for their rights. * Sustainability: We aim to create long-term, sustainable solutions to improve the lives of workers and their families in Central America.

Our Impact

CIR has made a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals in Central America, including: * Providing legal assistance and support to workers facing unfair labor practices * Advocating for improvements in labor laws and policies * Supporting initiatives that promote health, education, and gender equality * Raising awareness about human rights issues in Central America and Germany
